Anatalia is 11 years old. She attends Warm Springs Middle School. She's been performing for three years. This is her second year performing in the DCH Temecula's Got Talent event. Last year she was awarded second place for her performance of At Last by Etta James. Anatalia has performed for a variety of audiences including singing the National Anthem at a Storm Baseball Game, performing at the Battle for the Badges at Pala Casino and participating in Inland Idol. Her influences include Celine Dion and her grandparents. Her dream is to one day be a doctor or a singer and to make her family proud.
Dylan McDowell Talent: Slam Poet
Dylan has been writing poetry since he was in the 5th grade, but only recently started performing in front of an audience. Now, 17 and a student at Great Oak High School, Dylan has turned his talent into a big hit at several local venues including Great Oak's Art Showcase and Talent Show. Writing about a whole array of topics, Dylan includes his thoughts on: love, religion, science and even women's rights.
His influences include: Jeff Mangum, Rives Bukowski and Frank Sinatra. Dylan was recently accepted into BYU Idaho and has elected to study Financial Economics. Although, he aspires to study pre-law and to one day become a lawyer. If practicing law doesn't pan out, Dylan can see himself grabbing his guitar and taking his poetry on the road, riding trains around American and sleeping in a makeshift tent.
Leon is 12 years old and in 6th grade at James Day Middle School. He's been performing for two years. His musical influence is Aerosmith. He aspires to be a musician and in a band someday. He'd love to learn how to play the guitar. For fun, he and his family enjoy performing karaoke. You can see him performing from time to time at the Tambayan Restaurant here in Temecula.
Gleek Squad Talent: Singing & Dancing
The Gleek Squad are Ana Fujimoto (11 years old), Miracle Onyemaobi (12 years old), and Keanna Means (12 years old/not pictured). The group met at their school, Bella Vista Middle School where they became best friends. They've been performing together for a year and a half. They identify themselves with both Michael Jackson and Carrie Underwood. They admire Carrie Underwood for her talent and beliefs, stating that she's inspired them to follow their dreams. They identify with Michael Jackson for his love of pop music and incredible dance moves.
The Gleek Squad shares experience performing in churches, other talent competitions and musicals. Their realm of talent encompasses drama, ballet and performing arts. They love performing and bringing joy to others.
Mateo Rojas Talent: Yo-Yo player
Mateo is 13 years old and in the 8th grade. He's been performing tricks on his yo-yo for about a year and a half now. His favorite professional yo-yo players are Grant Johnson and Gentry Stein. Mateo has had the opportunity to compete at the Cal State Yo-Yo Contest in which he placed 44th out of 83 participants. Mateo hopes to one day be sponsored by YoYoJam and to be well known in the world of yo-yoing.
